Funeral services for Raymond Collins were held Wednesday, August 13, 1975, at 10 a.m. from the Immaculate Conception Church, Osakis, with Father Frederick Kampsen officiating. Interment was made in Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers were Vernon Fearing, Andrew Ritter, Marvin Housen, Minrad Waldvogel, Marvin Hendricks and Tom Rutten.
Mr. Collins was born January 15, 1904 in Todd County, the son of James and Sarah Collins. He had lived in the Osakis area for 40 years and his occupation was farming. He was married to Irene Sizer on March 4, 1935, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Belle River.
He is survived by his wife; children: Mrs. Kenneth (Jeanette) Fearing, St. Paul; DeWayne, Mora; Dean, Osakis; Mrs. Larry (Sarah) Horton, Sauk Centre; Mrs. Clinton (Mary) Skalsky, St. Cloud; sisters: Mrs. Alvin (Nellie) Bous, Long Prairie; Mrs. Joseph (Sarah) Lukes, Staples. Also 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
He passed away suddenly on Aug. 10, after suffering a stroke five days previously. Funeral arrangements were made by the Roy Funeral Home, Osakis.
