She married John Cagle Collins on April 21, 1941. The family moved to New York soon after the birth of their first child in 1943.
Frances always had a strong love of music. She performed in recitals while still in high school, winning awards. Later, she and her husband sang professionally as the Collins Duo, performing many classical music concerts for more than 20 years in the Northeast.
John and Frances retired to Denison in 1983. Frances continued with her love of music, singing in her Church choir and performing at civic functions with John. She volunteered at Texoma Medical Center for more than 25 years, at one time holding the title of President of the Auxiliary.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband, John and their two sons, John and David, her four brothers and her sister. When her health started to fail she moved to Arizona in 2010.
