REPORT CARRIES THREE LOCAL MEN KILLED IN ACTION
Nine East Tennesseans, including three from Kingsport, were listed as killed in action in the European and Southwest Pacific areas in a War Department report released Monday.
The men were:

Pfc. Sylvester J. Huffman, son of Mrs. Fannie C. Huffman, Route One, Kingsport.
S/Sgt. George T. Tipton, husband of Mrs. Helen S. Tipton, 1240 Watauga Street, Kingsport.
Pvt. Charles R. Bledsoe, husband of Mrs. Mary L. Bledsoe, 313 Reno Street, Rogersville.
Pfc. Lester G. Cross, husband of mrs. Ollie C. Cross, Route One, Rogersville.
Pvt. Joe F. Henard, son of Mrs. Sarah H. Henard, Route One, Bluff City
