Rannie R. Chaney - Mrs. Rannie R. Chaney, 74, formerly of Creighton, died at 5 p.m. yesterday Jan. 9, 1975 in the home of a daughter with whom she made her home in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. Mrs. Chaney had been ill for several years.
She was born Aug. 10, 1900, in Widnoon to P.W. and May Stowers Collingwood and lived in the Allegheny Valley most of her life. She moved to Ohio two year ago.
Mrs. Chaney was a member of Central Presbyterian Church, Tarentum, and the Gold Star Mothers.
Survivors include her daughter in Reynoldsburg, Mrs. Vivian Ludwig; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Alvin Collingwood, Widnoon, and one sister, Mrs. Ethyl Doyle, Worthington, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Cooper Chaney, Jan. 18, 1973, and by one son, Oscar, in 1943 while serving with the Navy.
The family will receive friends after 10a.m. tomorrow in Ferver-Krynicki Funeral Home, Second Avenue at Corbet Street, Tarentum, where a service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday by Mrs. Chaney's nephew the Rev. Marlin Collingwood. Burial will be in Tidal Cemetery, Armstrong County.
Died sitting outside with a broom in her hand.
