Marion J. Beebe, age 94, surrounded by her children, went home peacefully to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 11, 2012.

She was born November 1, 1917 in Bellingham to Henry Otis and Tillie (Flotree) Coles. She married Norman Beebe on March 7, 1953 in Everson.

Marion worked many years as Clerk-Treasurer for the City of Everson and served one term on the Everson City Council. She served as Secretary for Whatcom County Fire District #1, working well into her eighties.

For over 50 years she was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Nooksack Chapter.

Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Beebe, and her brother, John Coles.

She is survived by her sister, Iva Jordan; sons, Chuck (wife Erica) and Steve (wife Catherine); daughter, Cathy Pederson; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and many loving relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at Fountain Community Church, 2100 Broadway St. in Bellingham on Wednesday, October 17th at 2:00pm.

Memorials in Marion's honor may be made to Whatcom Hospice.
