PORTAL, Ga. - Mr. Franklin Coleman, retired and beloved Portal math teacher and baseball coach, has passed away after a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Sue Parrish Coleman; his son, Michael Coleman; his sister, Joan Brinson; and by his parents, Albert and Madge Coleman.
Survivors include his son, Al Coleman; his daughter, Melissa Coleman; his sister in-law, Linda Hunnicutt; several nieces and nephews and his beloved pets, Holly and Missy.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at Hodges-Moore Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held Sunday at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Hodges-Moore Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bulloch Memorial Gardens.
Hodges-Moore Funeral Home of Statesboro is in charge of the arrangements.
