Paul Coleman, 82, Idabel, passed away March 25, 2009, at Broken Bow. He was born July 16, 1926, at Idabel, the son of Oscar and Cara Coleman. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Martha Randolph.
Paul was a lifetime resident of McCurtain County. He proudly served his country for three years in the US Navy during World War II, serving on several differ-ent vessels in the Pacific, and worked as an underwater demoli-tion frogman.
He retired from the Idabel Post Office in 1979 after 20 years of service. Paul was a member of the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church.
He enjoyed hunting and fish-ing.
Paul leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Syble Coleman of Idabel; four sons, Ernest How-ard Coleman of Avenger, Texas, Richard Mark Dennison of Ida-bel, Douglas Craig Dennison of Calhan, Colo., and Kenneth Wayne Pratt of Idabel; one daughter, Pamela Kay Coombs of Idabel; three brothers, Louis Coleman of Idabel, Leonard Coleman of Daisy and Robert J. Coleman of Oklahoma City; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Norwood-Nation Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday, March 27, 2009, at Forest Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Doug Clements officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery.
