In the 1920 U.S. Census, widow Mary Coleman, 45, born Maine, parents born Canada, was living in Washington County, Maine, with George H., 13; and Charles A., 12, both born in Maine, father born in Germany.

In the 1910 U.S. Census, George Coleman, 41, born Germany, parents born Germany, was living in Ward 5 of Calais, Maine, with Flora, 35, born Maine, parents born Canada; William L., 15; Daniel, 13; Caroline, 11; George H., 4; and Charles A., 3, all born in Maine; William J. Chambers, 42, born Maine, father born Maine, mother born Penn.; and Mary E. Chambers, 29, born Maine, parents born Canada.

The Mckenzies had been married for two years.
The couple had been married for six years and he had come to the U.S. in 1890.
