Birth: Nov. 15, 1915
Bellingham
Whatcom County
Washington, USA
Death: Nov. 14, 2010

Beulah Mae Atterberry went to Heaven the day before her 95th birthday, on November 14, 2010, at San Juan Care Center in Anacortes, Washington.

She was born to Joseph Arthur and Della Mae (Wells) Cole in Bellingham, WA on November 15, 1915.

On June 25, 1938, she married Karl M. Atterberry and they were together every minute until his death on February 9, 2006.

Beulah loved camping with her grandkids, baking Nana Bread for the family, playing the organ, knitting, and singing praises to her Lord. She was a caring foster parent, a wonderful hostess and friend, a gardener and preserver, a Sunday School teacher, and a lifelong Christian.

She and Pop wintered in Yuma, AZ for many years following their retirement in 1972. They enjoyed the warmth of the desert sun and their friends in Yuma and missed the family, returning to live full-time in Anacortes in 1990.

They were the proud parents of and survived by Marilyn J. Sandvik (Stanley) and Ernest D. Atterberry (Nancy); grandparents to Steven E. Sandvik (Sonja), Gary D. Sandvik (Carin), Sheryl A. Reynolds (Matt), Sheila M. Ryan (David), and Bryon Karl Atterberry (Becca); and great grandparents to Chloe' Susann and Erik Emil Sandvik, Brenna Ann and Kellen Karl Sandvik, Kristina Mae and Jake Thomas Ryan, and Devon James and Dillon John Atterberry.
Beulah was preceded in death by her sister, Helen; her brothers, Ralph, Willis, Delmer, and Virgil; her nieces, Donna Mae Murphy and Margie Lou Christianson; and her nephew, Jon Cole. She is survived by special sisters-in-law, Muriel Huggins and Helen Healy; and special daughters, Marian Law and Peggy Spears; and many Cole and Atterberry nieces and nephews whom she adored.

Beulah's and Karl's cremains will be interred together this summer at Grandview Cemetery.

Their family wishes to thank Dr. Stalsbroten and the dear people at San Juan Care Center for loving her/them.

Memorial contributions may be sent to the Anacortes Christian Church or to the Meals on Wheels program.

Thank you for loving us, Nana. We will miss you deeply. We are happy that you are at peace and back in Pop's arms. See you both in church. "May your roots go down deep into the soil of God's marvelous love." Ephesians 3:17.

Arrangements are in the care of Evans Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., Anacortes, WA and the San Juan Islands. To share memories of Beulah, please sign the online guest register at www.evanschapel.com.
