Amy Clayton Cole — Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Berg Drawing Room Chapel of Provo, where friends may call Wednesday evening from 6-fl, and Thursday prior to services. Interment Provo City Cemetery. Amy Cole Of Provo Dies at 68 Amy Clayton Cole, 68, 482 N. 5th W., Provo, died Monday at the Castro Valley, Calif., Eden Hospital. She was born Aug. 14, 1902, in Provo, a daughter of James and Viola Perry Clayton. She married George Marshland Cole on Aug. 9,1924, in the Salt Lake Temple. He died March 11, 1962. Mrs. Cole received her education in Provo City schools and after her marriage lived in Provo. She was a member of the Third Ward where she taught MIA. She also was a member of the Nike Club, and at the time of her death was the oldest active member. Her husband had been the manager of the Paramount Theater before his death. Mrs. Cole's hobby was handiwork. Since last Christmas she had been visiting with her son in Castro Valley. Survivors include one son and one daughter, Arthur George Cole, Castro Valley; Mrs. David (Deone) Candland, Tonopah, Nev.; two brothers and two sisters, James P. Clayton, Salt Lake City; Frank W. Clayton, San Jose, Calif.; Mrs. Grant C. (Viola) Lewis and Mrs. Earl B. (Dorothy) Cottam, both of Provo; four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Berg Drawing Room Chapel of Provo with Bishop Erschel Shepherd of the Third Ward officiating. Friends may call at the mortuary Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday prior to services. Burial will be in the Provo City. Cemetery.'
