Cary O. Cole, who has been a sufferer with anemia for 11 years, died at his home 2804 Dubuque Street. He was one of the well known employes at the arsenal, having long worked at the machinist trade there. Mr. Cole was born in Columbus, Ohio, April 11, 1852. He came to Washington, Iowa as a child with his parents, growing to manhood there. He was married October 10, 1875 to Miss Mary E. Palmer of Charles City, Iowa. She survives with three children, Mrs. Glen Stevenson, Chicago; Mrs Myrtle Carter, Silver City, New Mexico and Mrs. Levy Kracke, Moline; a sister, Mrs. Sarah Beatty, Washington, Iowa and two brothers, D. S. Cole, Washington, Iowa and William K. Cole, Fremont, Michigan. Deceased was a member of the Woodmen of the World, Mystic Toilers and Sons of Veterans. He was a man who enjoyed the esteem of all who knew him; a devoted husband and father, and a kindly and charitable neighbor. The funeral will take place from the residence tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. W. H. Blancke will conduct the services, and interment will be Pine Hill Cemetery, Davenport, Iowa, Scott County.
