WILLARD-Delond K Cole, 78, passed away after a valiant battle with Leukemia on Wed, Aug 28, 2013 at home with his family by his side. Delond was born on Sept 10, 1934 in Deweyville, Utah, a son of Clifford Tingey and Hilda Knudson. He served his country in the Army and then transferred to the Army Reserves, completing 8 years of service. Delond married Roberta Rae Anderson on May 11, 1956 in the Logan LDS temple. She was the center of his world and together they raised 5 children. Roberta passed away on Sept 26, 2007. On Oct 8, 2008, he married Deanna Collings, a friend from High School. Surviving are his wife, Deanna, children: Kevin (Leanne) Cole, Kathy (Jim) Johnson, Linda Bodily, Diana Dye, Cliff (Ruth) Cole, 15 grandchildren and 9 ½ great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his siblings Verl (Joe) Cole, Mona Puzzi, Dennis (Dot) Cole, Rae (Ray) Bradbury, and Rea (Kevin) Jenkins.
Delond was a man of honesty, integrity, and a man of few words. He was an intelligent businessman and loved farming, livestock sales, and hard work. He was 'the man with the tractor,' helping neighbors remove many feet of snow. He liked watching sports on his big-screen, especially the Jazz and BYU. Family graveside services were held on Thursday Aug 29 at the Willard Cemetery with military honors accorded.
