Being the eldest child, Mildred had the responsibility of caring for her nine brothers and sisters from a very young age. At 8 years of age she went to live with her foster parents, Ken and Georgie Fraiser, until she married James L. Cole on Nov. 9, 1958. She was educated in Fryeburg ME schools.
She worked most of her adult life baby-sitting grandchildren and neighborhood children. She was a loyal Elvis Presley fan.
She was predeceased by her grandson Matthew Scott Cole, who died Oct. 10, 1996, and two brothers.
Surviving are her husband of 41 years, James L. Cole, Sr., of Brownfield; daughter Carol Ann Davis of Lovell ME; sons James L. Cole, Jr., of Fryeburg, Bradford Scott Cole of Brownfield, Brian Scott Cole of Fryeburg, and Brandon Earl Cole, of Brownfield; seven brothers and sisters; several half-brothers and sisters; several foster brothers and sisters; and 13 grandchildren.
