She was predeceased by her husband David, of 38 years who passed away in 1986 and her beloved sisters Anna, Minerva Schneider and Dolores Jones and her brother Harry.
Florence employed as an expediter for Kligerman Dairies. Later, during World War II and the era of Camp Boardwalk in Atlantic City, she worked for the military. The government offered her a job in Washington after the war, but she declined to leave her mother. She then worked as a bookkeeper for the Atlantic City Jitneymen's Assoc. where she met her future husband.
During her son's school years she was an active PTA member, a Cub Scout Den mother and a member and officer of the Chelsea Hebrew Cong. Sisterhood. For 36 years she dedicated herself to fundraising on behalf of the Seashore Gardens Hebrew Old Age Center (now Seashore Gardens Living Center) through her work as an officer of the Women's League (formerly Junior League) of the facility. She served numerous terms alternately as President and Chairman of the Board of that organization while chairing various committees including casino trips, bingo, ballroom dancing, rummage sales and other projects. She consistently, year after year, was the Women's League grea fundraiser. Her efforts were recognized through numerous awards and accolades including being named a Woman of Valor.
Florence is survived by her son, one sister, her grandson, her step-son, three step-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.
Graveside services were at Rodef Sholom Cemetery, 6691 Black Horse Pike, Egg Harbor Twp., NJ.
