Mrs. Davis was born in Tallahassee and had lived here her entire life, making her home at 1834 Mahan Dr. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Coggins Davis, 52, who died Sunday at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta after a short illness will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Culley's Funeral Home Chapel. Elder Freeman will officiate.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, J. C. Davis; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Strickland and Mrs. Louise Gray of Tallahassee; two sons, Earl Davis of Tallahassee and Ralph Davis of Miami; eight grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Clyde Dabney of Hyattsville, Md., and three brothers, Wells Coggins of Tallahassee, Malcolm Golden, Corpus Christi, Tex., and Frank Golden, Warner Robbins, Ga.
Pallbearers will be Clyde Kittrell, Broward Kittrell, Carl Trotman, Herschel L. Bradshaw, Johnny Coggins, and E. J. Bradshaw.
