Rhoda was the daughter of Daniel Coffin and Mehitable Harmon of Bethel, Maine. She was married in Waterboro, ME on 2 July 1793 to Jesse Bean, the son of William Bean of Waterboro. Her husband appears on the 1800 census in Bethel with what appear to be wife and three children, and on the 1820 census there with wife and two children. Following his death, Rhoda is found on the 1850 census in Bethel, living with her son Eliphas, aged 39, and family.
