Deceased Name: BETTY C . ALLEN
Services for Betty C. Allen, 55, of Route 3, who died Sunday in House of the Good Samaritan, Watertown, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Watson Funeral Home, Central Square. Burial will be in Maple Flats Cemetery, Cleveland.

Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, 206 S. Main St.

A native of Cleveland, Mrs. Allen also lived in Georgetown and Chaumont before moving to Black River about nine years ago. She was the widow of Edward W. Allen.

Mrs. Allen was employed with material management at Camp Drum in Watertown. She was employed with the federal government since 1953, when she began working at Griffiss Air Force Base.

Mrs. Allen served as a town of Rutland council member. She was a member of the Cleveland United Methodist Church.

Surviving are four stepdaughters, Nancy Baurn of Kernersville, N.C., Judy Hill of East Falmouth, Mass., Frances Robbins of Watertown and Marion Allen of Gorham, N.H.; four stepsons, John of Albany, Tim of Bangor, Maine, Gary of Fort Ord, Calif., and William Allen of Chaumont; her father, George Coffin of Cleveland; two sisters, Shirley Spoon of Williamstown and Dawn Coffin of Pasa Robles, Calif.; 15 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Contributions may be made to the Cleveland United Methodist Church.

Deceased Name: BETTY C . ALLEN DIES AT AGE 55 IN WATERTOWN
Betty C. Allen, 55, Route 3, died Sunday in the House of the Good Samaritan, Watertown, after suffering a massive pulmonary aneurism.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Watson Funeral Home, 206 S. Main St., Central Square. Burial will be in Maple Flats Cemetery, Cleveland.

Calling hours are from 7 to 9 p.m today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the Cleveland United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her father, George Coffin, Cleveland; four stepdaughters, Nancy Baurn, Kernersville, N.C., Judy Hill, East Falmouth, Mass., Frances Robbins, Watertown, and Marion Allen, Gorham, N.H.; four stepsons, John Allen, Albany, Tim Allen, Bangor, Maine, Gary Allen, Fort Ord, Calif., and William Allen, Chaumont; 15 grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Spoon, Williamstown, and Dawn Coffin, Pasa Robles, Calif.; several nieces and nephews.

Born in Cleveland on March 19, 1934, the daughter of George and Ila Hageman Coffin, she was educated in Cleveland schools and began work for the government in material management at Griffiss Air Force Base in 1953. She was presently employed in that area at Fort Drum.

Her second husband, Edward W. Allen, died before her.

Mrs. Allen served as a Town of Rutland council member, and was a member of the Cleveland United Methodist Church.
