Mrs. Alma Blakeman, 81, of 316 North Columbia Avenue in Campbellsville, daughter of the late Mr. Melvin M. Coffey and Mrs. Node Wilcox Coffey, was born in Green County, September 7, 1897. She died at 12:50 a.m., Sunday, May 27,[1979] at the Metzmeier Nursing Home where she had been a patient for the past fourteen months. She had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She united in marriage to Mr. Earlie Blakeman, December 16, 1913. He preceded her in death November 24, 1976. To this union six daughters and seven sons were born. Leo Blakeman died in infancy and Mr. Craddock Blakeman preceded his mother in death May 24, 1978. Surviving are Mrs. Temple Kirtley, Mrs. Lloyd Parrott, and Mrs. Blond Underwood, all of Campbellsville, Mr. Melvin M. Blakeman of Campbellsville, Route 3, Mr. William Olin Blakeman of Campbellsville, Route 4, Mr. Bobbie G. Blakeman of Greensburg, Route 1, Mrs. Louis Graybeal of Paducah, Ky., Mr. Earlie Blakeman, Jr. of Azle, Texas, Mr. George M. Blakeman of Ft. Worth, Texas, Mrs. Floyd Havens of Gardena, California, and Mrs. Winfred Loyall of Hamburg, New York. She is also survived by 28 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and one nephew, Mr. Gordon Coffey of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 29, at the Parrott and Ramsey Funeral Chapel by Rev. Tom Forester. Burial was in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Mr. Earlie Blakeman, 81, of 316 North Columbia Avenue in Campbellsville, son of the late Mr. George Blakeman and Mrs. Elizabeth Wilcoxson Blakeman, was born in Green County, Kentucky, May 28, 1895. He died at 5:25 p.m., Wednesday, November 24, 1976, at Metzmeier Nursing Home in Campbellsville where he had been a patient for the past eight weeks. He had professed faith in Christ early in life and was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church where he had served as elder and trustee for many years. He united in marriage to Miss Alma Coffey, December 16, 1913. To this union six daughters and seven sons were born. One son, Leo Blakeman, died in infancy. Surviving are Mrs. Temple Kirtley and Mr. Melvin Blakeman, both of Campbellsville, Route 3, Mrs. Cleo Underwood of Campbellsville, Route 1, Mr. Olin Blakeman of Campbellsville, Route 4, Mr. Bobby Blakeman of Greensburg, Route 1, Mrs. Edna Parrott of Lexington, Mrs. Nora Graybeal of Hopkinsville, Mr. Earlie Blakeman, Jr. of Azel, Texas, Mr. Craddock Blakeman and Mr. George Blakeman, both of Fort Worth, Texas, Mrs. Barbara Loyall of Hamburg, New York, and Mrs. Lula Havens of Gardena, California. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday, November 27, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Chapel in Campbellsville by Rev. Tom Forester. Burial was in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Earlie Blakeman, Jr., 62, a retired construction superintendent, died Nov. 16, 1989, at a Fort Worth, Texas hospital. The funeral was at Greenwood Funeral Home. Burial was in Greenwood Memorial Park. Blakeman was born in Campbellsville. He had lived in Azle, Texas since 1956. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife, Priscilla Blakeman of Azle; three sons, Joe Blakeman of Fort Worth, and Billy Blakeman and Eddie Blakeman, both of Arlington; four brothers, Melvin Blakeman and Olin Blakeman, both of Campbellsville, Bobby Blakeman of Greensburg, and George Blakeman of Fort Worth; and six sisters, Lula Havens of Gardena, Calif., Nora Elizabeth Graybeal of Paducah, Barbara Loyall of Hamburg, N.Y., and Edna Parrott, Temple Kirtley, and Cleo Underwood, all of Campbellsville. ~Obituaries of Taylor County, Kentucky, Volume IV, compiled by Eunice Montgomery Wright, p. 17
