Jeanne Coffey Ferguson, age 82, of Dallas, GA and formerly of Murphy, NC passed away Monday, November 2, 2009 in Atlanta, GA.

She was a native of Cherokee County, NC and the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Craig Coffey. Jeanne was in sales with Sears Department Store for several years. She was a member of Peachtree Memorial Baptist Church in Murphy, NC. Jeanne was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Lucille Sawyer and brother-in-law, Wilbur Fair.

She is survived by her husband, James W. Ferguson; two sons, Steve Ferguson and his wife, Sheila of Kennesaw, GA and Bryan Ferguson of Douglasville, GA; two daughters, Gail Dulay and her husband, Howard Hom of Los Angeles, CA and Janet Ferguson of Marietta, GA; a sister, Alma Fair of Andrews, NC; two grandchildren, Madison and Anna Ferguson and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, November 5, 2009 at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy, NC. Dr. Chester Jones will officiate. Burial will be in the Peachtree Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery in Murphy, NC. Pallbearers will be Eddie Ferguson, Freddie Carson, Gerald Fair, John Knotts, Franklin Barnett and Steve Crawford.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Thursday, November 5, 2009 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be in memory of Jeanne Ferguson to the Peachtree Memorial Baptist Church Building Fund, 1650 NC Hwy 141, Murphy, NC 28906.
