Ruth Flora Hicks Coddington, 68, died unexpectedly early Sunday [April 19, 1987] in Blue Mound, TX. Born Aug. 16, 1918, in Lafayette, she was a lifelong resident. [Her marriage was to Olin F. Coddington; they divorced.] Mrs. Coddington was a homemaker and a member of Eagles Lodge Auxiliary 347.
Surviving are six sons, Donald F. Coddington of Elkhart, Edward A. Coddington [3/5/1946-3/3/2012] of Crowley, TX, Robert Olin Coddington of Bristol, IN, John L. Coddington, Bruce W. Coddington, and Ronald E. Coddington, all of Lafayette; five daughters, Shirley Green, Dora Barnett, Beverly (Mrs. Frank) Smith, all of Lafayette, Carolyn (Mrs. Charles) Minkler of Saginaw, TX, and Debra (Mrs. William) Zborek of Blue Mound, TX; a sister, Emma Hicks of Lafayette; and 29 grandchildren. Preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.
