She was born in Fauquier County on November 22, 1921, a daughter of Preston M. and Sarah H. Thompson Cockrill.
Mrs. Olinger retired after 38 years of service from C & P Telephone Company and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. She was a longtime member of Remington Baptist Church.
Her husband, Walter Douglas Olinger preceded her in death.
She leaves her nephews, several cousins and her devoted caregivers; Michelle Smith, Carolyn Payne, Gloria Hogan, Dorothy Allison, Reana Thomas and her daughter Rachel Thomas and Ginger Carroll.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 22, 2010 from 7-9 PM at Moser Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at 11 AM at Moser Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John S. Farrar officiating.
Interment Warrenton Cemetery.
