WOODWARD, Okla. - Betty Jo Cockrell Oldham Baird, 88, died Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. today in First Christian Church with the Rev. Gene Spillman officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery by Billings Funeral Home of Woodward.

Mrs. Baird was born June 20, 1921, to Carl Prichard and C'Ora Smith Cockrell in Hereford, Texas. She married Carl A. Oldham on July 16, 1939, and married Lyle Donald "L.D." Baird on Nov. 29, 1996, in Glass Memorial Chapel in Bella Vista, Ark.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Conna Ann Jones of Broomfield, Colo.; two sons, Randy Oldham and Bob Oldham, both of Grand Lake; a sister, Ann Osburn of Colorado Springs, Colo.; nine grandchildren; two stepdaughters, Sandra Doornek and Debra Davis; two stepsons, Dennis Baird and Gary Baird; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to First Christian Church in Woodward, in care of the funeral home, 1621 Downs Ave., Woodward, OK 73801.
