Geraldine Roe Cochran, 84, Plainfield, died Jan. 8, 2004. She was born April 24, 1919 in Des Arc, AR. Mrs. Cochran was a school teacher at Crawfordsville, South Bend and Elkhart Schools. She was a member of Plainfield Baptist Church. Mrs. Cochran received her Bachelor;s degree from Tex Wesleyan and her Master;s degree from ISU in 1965. Memorial contributions may be made to Mission Work Projects for Santarem Project, P.O. Box 183, Plainfield, IN. Services will be at 2 p.m. Jan. 11, 2004 in Plainfield Baptist Church. Calling will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Jan. 10, 2004 at Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield. She was the widow of Rev. Homer Cochran. Survivors include daughters Janice (Paul) Scott of Santarem, Para Brazil (South America), Susan (Tim) Fair, Lakeland, FL; brother Louise Roe of Irving, TX; four grandchildren; one deceased; five great-grandchildren.
