Funeral services will be at today, Feb. 19 at Brune & Buck Chapel for Arthur B. Cockerel, 83, who passed away February 16 at Northern Inyo Hospital. The Reverend Donald Paterson of the First Baptist Church in Big Pine will officiate, interment will be in East Line Street Cemetery. Mar. Cockerel was born June 29, 1902 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He had been a Big Pine resident for ten years. He was also a charter member of the Big Pine Lions Club. Survivors include his wife Mary A. Cockerel of Big Pine; four sons, John T. Cocherell of Chino, Arthur L. Cockerel of Wilmington, North Carolina and James R. Cockerel of Indianapolis, Indiana; two sisters; seven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
