Barbara Coble Baker was born in Franklin Co. Pennsylvania, and was of German descent. She married Samuel Baker, (b. Virginia, 1819) 5 March 1844, in Richland Co. Ohio. She was first buried in an unmarked grave at Atwood, Kansas, but later was moved to Stevens Chaple Cemetery. Her great-grandson, Herbert Russel Windle,(dec.) provided this information in 2001 to me, Mary Baker Nystrom, gr-granddaughter of Barbara's.
Barbara was mother of 13 children, and grandmother of at least 40 grandchildren, and numerous gr-grandchildren.
She and Samuel were members of the Brethren Church, Holmesville, Gage Co., Nebraska.
