COBERLYS MARRIED 50 YEARS

> Mr and Mrs Homer Coberly observed their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday with an afternoon reception in the Blue room of the Strand hotel.
> Mr and Mrs Coberly were married January 1, 1910, at the home of the Reverend Cole of Chillicothe, in the presence of the groom's aunt, Mrs Belle Cravens, now of Colorado Springs. Mrs Cravens was unable to be here for the observance.
> The reception room was decorated with gold bells, yellow streamers and potted plants. The table was covered with a silk lace cloth over yellow with crystal candelabra and gold candles. The wedding cake was surrounded with gold and holly and had a large gold ball on top.
> Cake, punch, coffee and mints were served to the guests by the daughters and granddaughters. The couple received many gifts, flowers and cards.
> The children presented Mr and Mrs Coberly with a television set.
> The Coberly [sic] have spent their lifetime in Livingston County. They resided on a farm until moving to Chillicothe in 1946.
> They are the parents of four daughters and a son, Mrs Leslie [s/b Lestie] Regan, Mrs Esther McCown and Glen Coberly, Chillicothe; Mrs Eileen Castrianni, Lineville, Iowa, and Mrs Marjorie Thompson, Rock Island, Illinois. There are fourteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

HOMER COBERLY DIES AT 76
Lifetime Livingston Countian Was Active in Lodge Work Here.
> Homer Coberly, a lifelong resident of Livingston County, died at 4:50 Monday afternoon at the Chillicothe hospital, where he had been a patient one week. He had been in failing health for the last eleven months. Mr Coberly was 76.
> He resided on a farm in Rich Hill township until 1946, when he and Mrs Coberly moved to 737 Commercial street.
> Mr Coberly was a member of the Methodist church; the Masonic lodge; Fraternal Order of Eagles, and Moose lodge. He was a past president of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
> Mr Coberly, a son of Marion Coberly and Ella (Donovan) Coberly, was born on April 29, 1887, in Livingston County.
> He attended the Gordonville school.
> On January 1, 1910, he married Miss Gertrude Humphreys at Chillicothe. She died on September 28, 1962.
> Survivors include a son, Glen Coberly, Chillicothe; four daughters, Mrs Lestie Regan and Mrs Esther McCown, Chillicothe; Mrs Marjorie Thompson, Rock Island, Illinois, and Mrs Eileen Castrianni, Lineville, Iowa; a sister, Mrs Nora White, fourteen grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
> In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, two brothers and a sister.
> Funeral services will be held at 10:30 Wednesday morning at the Methodist [church] with the Reverend Earl Griffith officiating.
> The body of Mr Coberly will be removed from the Norman Funeral Home to the church at 9:30 o'clock where it will lie in state until the hour of the services.
> Burial will be in the family lot at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
