Coates, a retired office manager died Wednesday at the age of 77. She was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mae (Walton) Mates and was the wife of 60 years to Joseph Coates. Mrs. Coates graduated from The Little Flower High School in Philadelphia. She was a member of St. Matthew's R.C. Church in Conshohocken and was office manager at Cathedral Village in Roxborough. She was also employed by the Colonial School District. Jane was a member of: SAC in Norristown, Kendrick Center, Conshy Labor Lyceum, Senior Center in Roxborough, and the Whitemarsh Junior Women's Club. Jane volunteered her time and services to the Norristown Meals on Wheels.
