BAYARD, Neb. — Rose Coakley, 89, formerly of Lady Lake, died Saturday, March 20, 2010.
Ms. Coakley was born in Bayard. She was a teacher for many years.
Survivors include her sister, Caroline Nuss, Bayard; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 26, at Jolliffe Funeral Home in Scottsbluff, Neb. Online condolences may be left at jolliffefuneralhome.com. Jolliffe Funeral Home, Scottsbluff, is in charge of arrangements.
Rose Coakley age 89, originally of Bayard, and formerly of Lady Lake, Florida, passed away Saturday, March 20, at Heritage Estates in Gering. Her Memorial Service will be held Friday March 26, 2010, at 2 PM at Jolliffe Funeral Home in Scottsbluff. There will be no visitation, as per Rose's request, cremation has taken place.
Rose (Langhofer) Coakley was born on July 10, 1920 to David and Catherine Huck Langhofer in Bayard, NE. She was a graduate of Hastings College and was a teacher for many years. Rose married Daniel Coakley, on September 17, 1950 in West New York, NJ.
Rose is survived by her sister Caroline and husband Carl Nuss of Bayard, NE; as well as several nieces and nephews, Jennifer Nichols, Walter Nuss, Alex Nuss, Richard and Ronald Langhofer, Ralph Langhofer, Jack Frick, Kathy Ackers, Janet Schellenberger and Richard and Kevin Roth.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Walter Langhofer; half brothers Alex and David Langhofer, Sam Frick and half sister Hermina Frick, sisters-in-law Marie and Minnie Langhofer, and Esther Frick; and nephew Bob Langhofer.
Cremated, Location of ashes is unknown.
