Virginia Beach - Phillip Randall Coakley, whom we all loved, has left this world for bigger and better things. Born in Rochester, NY, Phil came to the Virginia Beach area in the 1960's. He was a pioneer in the home improvement business and a giant in the industry. Phil originated many of the home improvement businesses in the area. A very intelligent and innovative thinker, Phil could see the potential and silver lining in any situation. He helped countless numbers of people with achieving their goals and impacted many lives. A few sentences cannot begin to justify who he was as a person. We will miss you Big Kahuna! Phil is survived by his best friend and wife, Shirley, and his loving children and step children, Tracie Coakley Mauch(W.T), Michael Coakley(Dori), Cici Casey and Taylor Casey. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Trevor, Chandler, Madison, and Bren and his goddaughter, Rikki. Also left to cherish his memory is his canine companion, Mr. Woof. Close friends and family are invited to join us in a celebration of Phil's life at Fat Tuesdays on Saturday the 27th from 4:30 till 7:00. 315 N Great Neck Rd, Va Beach 23454. .
