Floyd and Nancy were married in Wytheville, Wythe County, VA on March 5, 1919.
He was the son of Robert Coake and Amelia Combs. They lived in Fancy Gap, Carroll County, Va per the 1900 and 1910 census.
Nancy was the daughter of James Hill and Belle Hardy Hill.

He worked for Bertha Mineral division of the New Jersey Zinc Company and lived in the "Bluffs" which were behind the main shafts and entrance to the mines. That area no longer exist. Will and Bettie Crowder were their neighbors.

Homer, Arnold, Raymond, Kinsey, Dorothy, Mary, Irene, and Ida.
