Patricia Scott Clyde Arnett, 63, passed away peacefully in her home on November 21, 2004.
Patricia was born to Jenet and William Clyde in Salt Lake City, Utah and has resided in Mesa since 1956.
Patricia attended Mesa High School and graduated cum laude from Arizona State University where she earned a bachelors degree in elementary education. She taught school at Lowell Elementary School in Mesa and carefully maintained her teaching certificate throughout her life.
Patricia has been active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and touched many lives as she served as a Young Women's President, Relief Society President, taught at the LDS Mountain View Seminary and in the Brigham Young University Continuing Education System, and performed her duties in many ward and stake callings. She produced and directed many dramatic and musical performances for her church and community.
She served on the Arizona Ballet Board; was the 2003-2004 president of American Mothers, Arizona Chapter; and was a strong advocate for educational issues at the state level.
Patricia is survived by her husband of 41 years, Bill Arnett of Mesa, her sister Kathleen Liddiard of Utah, and her seven children: Bill Arnett and his wife Cynthia, Robert Arnett and his wife Lanie, David Arnett and his wife Tiffany, Shauna Arnett Cole and her husband Scott, Diane Arnett Gardiner and her husband Monte, Karen Arnett Buehler and her husband Fidalis, and Stephen Arnett. She also leaves behind 19 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 26th at 6:00 PM in her home, 1459 North Gaylord Circle, Mesa. Funeral services will be conducted at the Mesa East Stake Center, 2228 E. Brown Road, Mesa, on Saturday, November 27, 2004 beginning at 10:00 AM, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will commence immediately following the service at the City of Mesa Cemetery. All of Patricia's friends are invited to attend. Bunker's Garden Chapel handled the arrangements.
