She received her B.S., Masters and Specialists degrees in Business Education from the University of Missouri and taught Business Education at Van-Far High School, Vandalia, Mo., for 28 years, retiring in 1989. After retirement Erma and Bill moved to Kearney, Mo., to be closer to her children and their families.
Bill died in 2001. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Setterstrom in 1999.
Erma is survived by her son, Carl, his wife, Ellen, grandchildren Sara (Bart) Woods, Eric (Ursula) Ledbetter, Megan (Clark) Halferty, Heather Setterstrom and Andrew Setterstrom, as well as seven great-grandchildren.
A private family remembrance will be held with burial in Thayer, Mo. Memorials may be made to Kearney United Methodist Church.
