Funeral Saturday
Funeral service for Martha C. Allen, 75, a resident of Columbus Convalescent Center at 2100 Midway, will be conducted by the Rev. James McKinney at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Hathaway-Myers Funeral Chapel. Calling hours will be Saturday from 9 a.m. until service time and burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
Mrs. Allen died Thursday at the convalescent center.
She was born Jan. 5, 1910, in Mitchell, the daughter of Charles and Effie M. Hart Clouse. She was the widow of Lawrence R. Allen who died Nov. 1, 1966. She formerly worked as a nurse's aid, retiring in 1970 from the former Powell Nursing Home in Columbus.
Survivors include two sisters, Mary Head, also of 2100 Midway, and Edna Wood of Mitchell, and several nieces and nephews.
