Funeral services for Mr. Charles M. Cloud, 83, a lifetime resident of Bainbridge, were held on Sunday, August 31, 1975, at 3 p.m. from Ivey Funeral Home Chapel. Interrment followed in Oak City Cemetery with Rev. Calvin Culverson officiating. He died on August 29 in Quincy, Florida at Gadsden County Nursing Home.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Susie Bell Spooner Cloud; two sons: Charles M. Cloud, Jr. of Tallahassee and Herbert Cloud of Valdosta; two daughters: Mrs Ruth Ballard of Augusta, Georgia and Mrs. Margaret Palumbo of St. Petersburg, Florida; two sisters: Mrs. Mattie Grantham and Mrs. Davie Hartzog of Bainbridge; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A retired sawmill foreman, he was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Active pallbearers were Sherwood Kitchens, Bucky Reeves, Ed Cloud, Marvin Cloud, Hugh Palumbo, Thomas Ballard, Harvey Dollar and J. D. Dobson. Ivey Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
