Agnes Virginia Scott Close, 97, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Kensington Manor in Elizabethtown, KY. Born on October 1, 1915 in Ohio County, Kentucky.
A retired employee of the American Saw and Tool Co.
She is survived by a daughter, Loretta Sherwood; sons, Arlis and Hershel Evans; a brother, Orval Scott; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A service to celebrate Mrs. Close's life will be held at 1 p.m. Friday. Interment will be in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until the time of service on Friday.
