THE DOUGLAS COUNTY HERALD (AVA, MISSOURI) 09 FEB 1928 THU PG4OBITUARYMARTHA T. YANDELL was born February 18, 1848, near Nashville, Tenn. She departed this life February 1, 1928, being 80 years, 11 months and 24 days old. She came to this country with her parents when she was a small child and settled in Douglas County. She was united in marriage with Robert A. Clinkingbeard, in September 1867. To this union was born ten children: Will Clinkingbeard, Ava, Mo.; Tom Clinkingbeard, Ava, Mo.; Newt. Clinkingbeard, Fallin, Nevada; George Clinkingbeard, Guymon, Okla.; Belle Hinds, Stella, Mo.; Ada Schlosser, Ava, Mo.; Ida Hinds, Guymon, Okla.; Julia Smith, Ava, Mo.; Laura Edmonson, Stella, Mo.,; and Effie Klineline, Lindsay, Calif. All but two of the children (Newt and Mrs. Effie Klineline) were at her bedside at the end.Mr. Clinkingbeard preceded her to the great beyond in December 1926.She was converted early in life and was a member of the General Baptist church. She was an earnest Christian, a faithful wife, and a devoted mother.Besides her children, she leaves to mourn her, 43 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
