Stanley Jiles Clingenpeel
Stanley Jiles Clingenpeel of Stroud, died in Stroud on Thursday, June 10, 1999. He was 83.
Funeral services were conducted at the Parks Brothers Chapel in Stroud on Saturday morning, June 12, 1999 with Rev. Don Wilburn officiating. Burial was in Stroud Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Stroud.
He was born in Stroud on March 24, 1916, the son of Joseph Milton and Emma Jane (Gilman) Clingenpeel. He was a Stroud resident all of his life.
Mr. Clingenpeel married Verleta Mae Wilson in Chandler on September 2, 1941. She preceded him in death on March 4, 1998. Others preceding him in death were his parents, four brothers, five sisters and one grandson.
Mr. Clingenpeel was retired from Allied Materials Corp. where he worked as a pipe fitter. He was affiliated with the Assembly of God Church in Stroud.
Survivors include two sons, Bobby and wife Cecilia Clingenpeel of Tulsa, and David and wife Rhonda Clingenpeel of Stroud; two daughters, Janie Reed of Stroud, and Daisy Clingenpeel of Shawnee; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild, and other relatives.
