PIONEER EXLINE RESIDENT DIES AT STATE HOSPITAL

Enoch Cline Died at University Hospital After Long Illness; Funeral Rites Sunday
----------
Exline - (Special) - Enoch Cline, 76, pioneer resident of near Exline, died at the university hospital in Iowa City after a long period of illness. He had been in poor health for the past several months and had been in the Iowa City hospital for the past six weeks after undergoing a major operation recently from which he never recovered.
Mr. Cline was a son of Mott and Margaret Cline, born on a farm south of Exline. He was the last of six children born in the family.
Mr. Cline was married twice, his first wife being Lodema Caster who died in 1898. One son, Otis, was born to this union. After the death of his first mate, Mr. Cline married Bertha Way and one daughter, Mrs. Carrie Campbell, was born to this union. The two children and four grandchildren are left to mourn the death of their father.
Mr. Cline was a member of the Masonic lodge and the I. O. O. F. at Exline. He was a member of the Christian church for many years.
Funeral services will be held at the Christian church at 2 p. m. Sunday with Elder E. E. Withrow in charge, assisted by the M. E. pastor of the Exline-Cincinnati circuit. Burial will be in the Exline cemetery.
Undertaker Eurus Johnson, assisted by Ray Perkins, went to Iowa City to return the body to Exline.
