She is survived by her sister, Susie Sparks York of Louisville, Ky.
She was a 1952 graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Pharmacy, where she also a member of the Order of Old Well, an honor society. She had been the valedictorian of her Draper High School class. She lived in Charlotte, N.C. for more than 30 years working as a pharmacist at area drug stores. After her retirement, she moved to Greensboro, where she lived at the Masonic Home.
In addition to her sister, Mrs. Clinard is survived by two nephews, Michael York of Vienna, Va. and Stuart York of Elletsville, Ind., and her first cousin, Janice Sparks of Eden, N.C.
A graveside service will be held Friday, July 9, 2004 at 12:30 p.m. at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Reidsville, N.C.
