(Johann Nicholas Click) immediately upon landing in New York he set out for a well-known German settlement in Pennsylvania near the borderline of Maryland. By his unusual intelligence, good conduct, frugal and industrial habits, he soon won the respect and esteem of his new friends in Pennsylvania. He was not long in winning the heart and hand of Rebecca Harmon, a young German girl of fine character and splendid culture and refinement.
