Audrey J. Meddings Clendenin, 79, of West Logan, WV., went home to be with her Lord and join her husband on November 12, 2012, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on January 14, 1933, in Price Hill, WV., to the late Clifford and Sara Luella Meddings.
Audrey was a former telephone operator for C &P Telephone Company, she was very active in her church the West Logan Missionary Baptist Church where she served as secretary for the Women's Missions.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Clendenin, her sister, Constance Lamb, and two brothers, Clifford Jr. and Clyde Meddings.
She is survived by one son, Billy J. Clendenin and wife Rebecca of Cloverdale, VA., one daughter, Donna Renee Clendenin of West Logan, one brother, Darrell (Karen) Meddings of Glendale, CA., three grandchildren, Bethany (Eric) Lainhart of Georgetown, KY., Lauren Clendenin and Jared Clendenin of Cloverdale, VA., one sister-in-law, Erma Jean Meddings of Salem, VA., one brother-in-law, Merten 'Gene' Lamb of West Winfield, NY., special friend, Betty Costa, and a host of other relatives and good friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 17, 2012, at the West Logan Missionary Baptist Church, with Pastor Robert Morris officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Visitation from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Honaker Funeral Home Logan, and from 12 until 1 p.m. on Saturday at the church.
