Barbara Janice Clemmons, 58, North Street, Richmond, died Monday, July 21, 2008, in the Compassionate Care Center.
She was born Dec. 8, 1949, in Jacksonville, Fla., the daughter of the late C.B. and Lillian Janet Smithy. She was a homemaker and babysitter who loved caring for children.
Survivors include: her husband, Walter Clemmons; three sons, John Clemmons of Louisville, Craig Williamson (Melissa) of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Anthony Clemmons of Richmond; three daughters, Deanna Clemmons of Shelbyville, Shona Deaton (Jeremiah) of Richmond and Holly Wolak (Ansley) of Louisville; two brothers, Eugene Williams (Joan) and John Smithy of Jacksonville, Fla.; her grandchildren, Meghan Clemmons, John Clemmons, Jack Clemmons, Jake Clemmons, Zachary Deaton, Marijane Wolak and Karina Deaton; and her stepmother, Florine Williams of Palatka, Fla.
She was preceded in death by: one son, Kenneth Lynn Williamson; and one sister, Sherry McMillan.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, July 25, 2008, at Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Chaplain James Demaray officiating. Visitation will be after noon Friday at Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home.
