NEWPORT NEWS - Carolyn Sue Clemm, 43, died April 13, 1996. A native of Charleston, W.Va., Ms. Clemm had been a Peninsula resident most of her life.

She was a self-employed pet groomer and a member of Warwick Memorial United Methodist Church, Newport News. She was an avid animal lover, a top breeder of Dobermans and a member of the United Doberman Club, and trained Dobermans to be police dogs.

Ms. Clemm is predeceased by her mother, the late Barbara Lea Taylor Willett, and is survived by her father, Joseph W. Willett of Hampton; her daughter, Dawnette Michelle Clemm of the home; one sister, Lisa Weddle of Williamsburg; her maternal grandmother, Audry Harris of Clendenin, W.Va.; an aunt, Kathleen Ashley of Spencer, W.Va.; an uncle, Clyde Taylor of Clendenin, W.Va.; two very dear friends, Debi Maifield and Martha Clift; along with a host of family and friends.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 16, 11 a.m., at the Warwick Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Daniel K. Ivy. Burial will follow in Peninsula Memorial Park, Newport News. The family will receive their friends Monday, 7-8 p.m., at the Amory Funeral Home, Grafton.
