Willie C. Brashears, 81, of Amarillo died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2007.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Plymouth Cemetery near Samnorwood with the Rev. Bob Miller of South Georgia Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements are by Cox-LaGrone Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.

Mrs. Brashears was born Dec. 15, 1925, in Plymouth, raised in Samnorwood and attended school in Samnorwood. Mrs. Brashears lived in Amarillo before living in Shamrock from 1968 until 1973. She returned to Amarillo in 1973, where she was a resident for many years. She was a nurse tech at High Plains Baptist Hospital and a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Pat Green and husband Bob of Amarillo; a granddaughter, Kathy Green of Amarillo; a grandson, Kyle Green of Houston; and a great-granddaughter, Traci Green of Amarillo.

The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79176; or Bivins Memorial Care Center, 1001 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, TX 79106.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
