CLEMENT, Mrs. Jack (Leighton) of Salty Comm. & Austin. Age 91. Died 3/16/1973 (Friday) in a Nursing Home in Houston. Services held (Sunday) at 1:30 p.m. at the Trinity United Methodist Church. Burial in the Thorndale City Cemetery. Rev. Jim Foster, pastor of the church, officiated. Condra Funeral Home of Taylor in charge of arrangements.
She was BORN Leighton Moseley, daughter of the late James E. and Evelyn Belle Conoley Moseley, on 12/31/1881 in the Salty Community. She had resided in the Thorndale area for more than 50 years and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Following her husband's death, she moved to Austin where she was employed by the Bohn Company, but upon her retirement, returned to Thorndale where she resided until 1971, then lived with her daughter at Bellaire. Preceded in death by her husband, Jack Clement, one sister, and 5 brothers.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Mrs. R.W. (Jack) Toolan of Bellaire; sister, Mrs. H.L. (Carl) Kirkman of Hurst; number of nieces, nephews and a large circle of friends.
