Mr. Cleaver was a member of the York Springs borough council for a number of years, and had retired after completing a term of office in January. He was a member of the York Springs Lodge No. 211, I.O.O.F., Latimore Council, Independent Order of Americans, and of York Springs Lodge P.O.S. of A.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Cleaver; his granddaughter: Helen Smith, who resided at the Cleaver home; a daughter: Mrs. Bruce Wagner of Dillsburg; two brothers: Charles Cleaver of York; and William Cleaver of Philadelphia; one sister: Mrs. Elizabeth Coulson of Gettysburg; two step-brothers: Lewis and Joseph Cleaver; and four step-sisters, all of Mt. Holly Springs; twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
