FOXBORO, Mass. - Charles V. Clayton Sr., 82, died Friday, March 18, 2005, at his home.


He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II serving with the 8th Army Troop Carrier Division serving in North Africa, England, France and Germany.


Mr. Clayton was a food service manager at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Watertown Arsenal and retired from the Foxboro Company after 34 years of service.


He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4479 and a 50-year member of St. Albans Lodge, both in Foxboro.
