Mrs. George Claymon Dies Suddenly At Farm Home Near Amherst
Funeral services for Mrs. George Claymon of the Amherst community, who died suddenly Friday evening at her farm home, were conducted Monday afternoon in Holyoke.
The final rites were held at the Colver Brothers Funeral Home with Rev. Clare J. Hayes, pastor of the Methodist church, officiating. Musical numbers were sung by Mrs. A.W. McFadden and Mrs. C.R. Smythe with Charles Gleason playing the piano accompaniments. Burial was made in the Holyoke cemetery.
Out of town relatives attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Bonner of Columbus, Nebraska, Miss Verna Rinesmith of Central City, Nebraska, Mrs. Lena Claymon, John Claymon and Mrs. Rudolph Witgen and daughter, Ferne, of Platte Center, Nebraska and Mr. and Mrs. Lester Claymon of Scottsbluff, Nebraska.
Mrs. Claymon, who had been in good health the past few years, died at 6:15 o'clock Friday evening while helping her husband with the evening farm chores. Death was due to a heart attack.
Clella Anna Rinesmith, daughter of Daniel and Eliza Lentz Rinesmith, was born January 29, 1895 at Shelby, Nebraska. She was married to George Claymon February 5, 1919, at Platte Center, Nebraska. Mr. and Mrs. Claymon established their home on a farm near Platte Center following their marriage and they resided there until the spring of 1930 when they moved to a farm near Amherst where they had since lived. The deceased affiliated with the Methodist church during her early childhood and remained a member of that church throughout her life.
Surviving are her husband and five children, Carroll, Marvin, Russell, Elaine and Dale, all at home; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Bonner of Columbus, Nebraska and Miss Verna Rinesmith of Central City, Nebraska; and many other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents.
