Jason Claybourn, 25, of Summitville, died Monday at Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

A native of Murfreesboro, he was a backhoe operator for Ray Vaughn Backhoe and Excavating Service and a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church. A volunteer fireman, he was very active in the Summitville Fire Department.

Survivors include his wife, Melanie Claybourn; one son, Aaron Wayne Claybourn; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Claybourn, of Morrison; one sister, Brenda Heilman, of Manchester; one nephew, Ryan Heilman, of Manchester; his maternal grandmother, Evia E. Cargile, of Morrison; and one uncle, Franklin Claybourn, of Summitville.

Services were held January 21 at Manchester Funeral Home with burial following in Summitville Cemetery.
