Civil War Union Army Officer. Mustered in as 1st Lieutenant of Company K, 58th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry on March 1, 1862. Mustered out January 18, 1865 upon expiration of term. Commissioned as 1st Lieutenant and Adjutant on September 22, 1865. Mustered out with Regiment on January 24, 1866.
